About

I’m Nuno Soares and I’m an illustrator from Braga, Portugal currently based in Valencia, Spain.

Ever since I was a little kid, I have been obsessed with creating stories and illustrating them, making my own little books, comics, posters with whatever paper I would find. I had a big imagination, and loved to create characters and the magical worlds they inhabited.

I have since studied Communication Design at the University of Porto (FBAUP), where I first started realised that illustration was truly the thing I was most passionate about. After a year of working as a full time graphic designer, I started in September 2025 the Master of Design and Illustration of the Technical University of Valencia (UPV), where I am learning more about the reality of the profession by having classes with industry professionals and focusing all my efforts into becoming a full-time illustrator.
